PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: January 29, 2026

Effective Date: January 29, 2026

1. INTRODUCTION

AI Dente LLC ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy. This policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our mobile application, Aestheticam (the "App").

Core design: Aestheticam is designed so that photo effects are processed on your device. We do not operate a photo-upload feature and we do not store your photos on our own servers.

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We aim to minimize data collection. However, the App uses third-party services (notably Google Firebase and Google AdMob) that may collect certain identifiers and technical information.

A. Information You Provide Directly

Aestheticam does not require an account. We do not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, or similar contact details to use the App.

B. Permissions & Device Features

Depending on how you use the App, you may grant:

  • Camera: Required to take photos for on-device processing.
  • Photo Library (Add Only): Used only to save exported images to your photo library. The App does not request permission to browse your existing library in the current version.
  • Notifications: If you enable notifications, we may send push notifications.
  • Microphone: The current version of the App does not require microphone access for core functionality. If we add video/audio features in the future, we may request additional permissions at that time.

C. Information Collected Automatically (Technical Data)

When the App communicates with third-party services or runs analytics, certain technical data may be collected automatically, such as:

  • Device and app information: device model, OS version, app version, language settings, and related diagnostic information.
  • Log and network data: IP address, user agent, and standard request headers.
  • Identifiers: app instance identifiers (e.g., Firebase installation identifiers), and advertising-related identifiers (see "Advertising & Tracking" below).
  • Analytics events: we currently use Firebase Analytics and it may collect automatic events (such as app opens, session information, basic device/app info). We do not currently log custom, user-content events like the contents of your photos.

3. IMAGE PROCESSING & PHOTO PRIVACY

A. On-Device Processing

Photo effects and image manipulation occur locally on your device using iOS frameworks. We do not upload your photos to our own servers for processing.

B. No Access to Your Photos by Us

We do not view or store your original or edited photos on our own systems.

C. Saving & Sharing

  • Saving: Images are saved to your device only when you choose to save/export.
  • Sharing: If you share an image using the iOS share sheet, the image is sent to the destination you select (for example, a messaging app or social network). We do not control how those third parties handle content you share.

D. Metadata (EXIF)

We do not intentionally add location metadata to exported images. However, metadata handling can vary depending on iOS behavior and how images are encoded. If metadata privacy is important to you, review image details before sharing.

4. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information for the following purposes:

  • Provide and operate the App: enable camera capture, rendering, exporting, and sharing flows.
  • Remote configuration: deliver dynamic text/configuration updates (e.g., meme phrase arrays) through remote configuration tools.
  • Push notifications: send notifications if you opt in.
  • Analytics and app improvement: understand basic app performance and stability using analytics data (currently primarily automatic collection).
  • Advertising and monetization: display ads and support measurement/fraud prevention.
  • Legal and security: comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and users.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & DISCLOSURE

We do not sell your photos. We do not provide your photo content to advertisers.

We use third-party services that may collect and process technical data described above:

A. Google Firebase (Remote Config, Analytics, Messaging)

We use Firebase to:

  • deliver remote configuration updates,
  • collect analytics (automatic events),
  • deliver push notifications (when enabled).

Firebase may process identifiers and technical data to provide these services.

B. Google AdMob (Advertising)

We use Google AdMob to serve banner and/or interstitial advertisements. Ad providers may collect identifiers and technical data for:

  • ad delivery,
  • measurement/attribution,
  • fraud prevention,
  • and (where enabled/allowed) ad personalization.

C. Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or our company.

6. ADVERTISING & TRACKING (IDFA / ATT)

A. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

We do not currently show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. As a result, in most cases the App will not have access to the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA).

B. Ads Still Appear

Even without ATT permission, you may still see ads. Ad providers may use non-IDFA signals (such as contextual information or other permitted identifiers) for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.

C. Future Changes

If we later implement ATT prompts or expand advertising functionality, we will update this policy and, where required, provide additional notice and choices.

7. DATA RETENTION

  • Photos: We do not store your photos on our own servers. Photos you save remain on your device and in the services you choose to share them with.
  • Third-party service data: Technical data collected by Firebase/AdMob is retained according to those providers' retention practices and your device/account settings. We do not directly control all retention periods for third-party systems.

8. SECURITY

We take reasonable steps designed to help protect information used by the App. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and iOS account.

9. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS & CHOICES

A. Device Controls

You can control permissions at any time in iOS settings:

  • Camera
  • Photos (Add Only)
  • Notifications

You can stop most collection by uninstalling the App.

B. Advertising Controls

Your iOS settings may offer controls related to ad personalization and tracking requests (including whether apps may request tracking).

C. Analytics Controls

We do not currently provide an in-app analytics opt-out. If we add additional controls, we will update this policy.

D. International Rights (Including EEA/UK)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of your personal data. You can contact us using the details below.

Important note for EEA/UK users: We do not currently provide a dedicated consent prompt for advertising/analytics. By using the App, you acknowledge that third-party providers may process technical data for analytics and advertising as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

E. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents may have rights such as the right to know, delete, or opt out of certain "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell your photos. If you wish to limit advertising-related sharing, use iOS tracking settings and contact us as described below.

10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

We operate from the United States. If you use the App from outside the U.S., information processed by our service providers may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where they operate.

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy and revise the "Last Updated" date. We may also provide additional notice in the App where appropriate.
